BRISBANE

HR & OHSE ADMINISTRATOR

A unique opportunity has become available within our Human Resources and OHSE team for an administrative support person at our head office in Brisbane.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide HR And OHSE support services to our workforce by:

  • Maintaining the HR And OHSE reporting systems
  • Reporting Safety Statistics
  • Responding to requests for HR and OHSE administrative information
  • Processing of employment agreements, position changes and our onboarding experience
  • Managing OHSE electronic filing system
  • Assisting in implementing HR and OHSE improvement programs
  • Data entry.

Other administrative responsibilities include:

  • Employee documentation and letter generation
  • Employment changes and amendments
  • Creation and maintenance of personnel files and data
  • Coordination of pre-employment screening requirements
  • Developing monthly newsletters, safety presentations and regular bulletins, alerts, and general HR and OHSE communications
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Taking meeting minutes.

This is a fast-paced and high-volume work environment that will suit a great communicator with a passion for customer service.

In addition, it is critical that you can show us:

  • An understanding of HR and OHSE concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good communication presentation and report writing skills
  • Solid experience in an administration role (ideally a really busy one!)
  • An eye for detail when processing a high volume of work

BRISBANE

EXPERIENCED FFE TECHNICAN – Brisbane based FIFO Emerald

We are now seeking an Experienced FFE Technician to join our Company in a full time capacity within the Emerald Region. Offering a FIFO roster the position is available now.

The successful applicant needs to be energetic, highly motivated, trustworthy, have a willingness to learn and can work well individually and in a team environment.

Your duties include:

  • Maintain and service all FFE including documentation
  • Current proficiency in the standards to which we operate
  • Conduct routine inspection and servicing of Portable Fire Equipment / Fire Hydrants and Hoses
  • Installation of Portable Fire Equipment
  • Travel to various mine sites in the region to perform work in wash plants and workshops.

Skills & Experience required:

  • High level of workmanship, someone who takes pride in their work
  • You to hold current licencing and certification
  • Applicants may be from other trades and are willing to learn new skills
  • Previous experience in the fire industry is essential.

BRISBANE

SPRINKLER FITTERS – Brisbane based FIFO Moranbah

Due to growth we have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Sprinkler Fitters to join our Northern Region (Moranbah) team, servicing customers throughout the Mining Industry.

This role enjoys the lifestyle of a 7/7 Roster FIFO.

The successful applicant needs to be energetic, highly motivated, trustworthy, have a willingness to learn and can work well individually and in a team environment.

Your duties include:

  • Installation, maintenance and servicing of Wet / Dry, deluge and gaseous sprinkler systems and all associated equipment.
  • Installation, maintenance and servicing of Fire Fighting Pump sets
  • Installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of Fire Hydrants Systems
  • Discharging and recharging of sprinkler systems
  • Flow and / or mechanical fault testing of sprinkler, hydrant and pump systems
  • Inspect, test, and repair systems such as Sprinklers, Hydrants and Pump Sets
  • Professional written & Communication skills
  • Installation/Modifications to Sprinkler Systems.

Criteria for the role:

  • A minimum 5 Years’ experience as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter (with experience in maintenance being beneficial)
  • A current QBCC Licence (Fire Protection Scope – Hydrants and Pump sets, sprinkler & suppression systems)
  • A valid restricted sprinkler fitter/plumbing licence
  • A valid and unrestricted open Queensland driver’s licence
  • A construction induction card (white card / formerly blue card)
  • A working at height licence preferable
  • A licence to perform high risk work highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Australian standards and codes relevant to the fire industry
  • Proven industry experience in servicing, defecting, repairing, maintaining and installing fire systems and equipment including Minor Works
  • Strong ability in fault diagnosis and solving issues on site
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a range of people
  • The ability to work autonomously with a pro-active approach to managing deadlines
  • Excellent attendance records
  • The ability to read/ interpret plans
  • The ability to pass a full medical, including ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.

MACKAY

FIRE SUPPRESSION TECHNICAN

We are now seeking Fire Suppression Technicians to join our Mackay Team.

IF YOU ARE AN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN THIS AN IDEAL POSITION FOR YOU TO TRANSFER YOUR SKILLS AND BE REWARDED WITH GREAT REMUNERATION AND TRAINING PROVIDED 

Responsibilities included in this position:

  • Installing fire suppression systems, on mobile mining and construction equipment
  • Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Coordinating, compiling and submitting the necessary paperwork and other procedures
  • Attending to client call outs
  • Fit and energetic personnel required with a can do attitude
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a dynamic team
  • Monday to Friday roster
  • Permanent position offering great Remuneration
